Thailand's House Speaker Chai Chidchob on Thursday hinted the country's political chaos would possibly be solved after the Songkran Festival as "a person with a lot of clout" would act as a mediator between the conflicting parties.
Chai did not reveal the person's name but he said all parties would find the person acceptable, the website by The Nation newspaper reported.
The Songkran Festival is scheduled in April every year and this year it will be during April 13-15.
Meanwhile, Chai said he expected no violence to occur around mid next week when the anti Government protesters plan to hold another mass rally at the Government House.
The red shirted protestors are on the 8 day of their anti Government rally in front of the Government House aiming to overthrow the coalition government.
Starting from Friday all of the entrances of the Government House have been blocked by the anti Government protestors preventing Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva, his cabinet ministers and civil servants from entering to work.
